Glen Nevis Low Level
Led by JAHAMA Highland Estate.
Suitable for up to 10 people.
The going is rough and is extremely wet and slippery. Please bring robust footwear and good waterproofs. Wellington boots will not provide sufficient support on this terrain and are not recommended.
The main Glen Nevis CPI site, located within the Ben Nevis SSSI, is an important remnant of the Caledonian Forest. As relatively new owners of the landholding, JAHAMA Highland estate will provide two field trips in Glen Nevis, hosted by their Stalking team. Both provide an opportunity to discuss and consider the many challenges of how to manage the future restoration of these important sites.
This low-level route is for up to ten participants, hosted on a 1:10 staff ratio. It follows an established desire line and will visit a number of wild pines as well as a relict Scots Pine stand within the CPI.
